The Carnival of Brazil is an annual festival held during the Friday to the Tuesday .it's a six-day party where crowds follow the parade cars through the city streets, dancing and singing. Carnival
is the most famous holiday in Brazil.
There
are also the Samba schools which make a parade
showing their music, fantasies, and allegorical
cars. They are followed by the people. Every year
the parade tell a different story. Each city has
one or more schools like this.
Carnival was a pagan custom celebrating the arrival of spring. However, Christian culture was loath to relinquish the popular festival and incorporated it into their religious traditions.Carnival is more than just a party in Brazil. It's an expression for the feeling
and joy of life. It has a big importance in nearly every Brazilian city, and
even more so in the Northeast. Because of the huge importance no costs and
efforts are spared to make the shows as gigantic as possible.
